Community workshops and DIY learning sessions are regularly organised for students of Ramco Group institutions, with a strong focus on upcycling – the process of transforming old, discarded, or waste materials into new products of higher value and usefulness.

Waste generated within the campuses is systematically segregated into organic and inorganic materials. Organic waste is composted and converted into manure, while selected solid waste such as plastic bottles, cables, and electronic components is creatively upcycled into functional products.

These upcycled items are distributed to the local community and showcased at public events to raise awareness about sustainable consumption and waste reduction.

Through this initiative, students gain a practical understanding of circular economy principles. The programme fosters creative sustainability, promotes a culture of reuse, and strengthens problem-solving skills. Most importantly, it inspires young minds to adopt eco-friendly habits and become responsible stewards of the environment.
