Managed by the PSK Nagar Residents Welfare Society and maintained by Ramco Spinners, the park stands as an excellent example of how community participation and corporate support can create attractive public spaces.
The park has become a favourite destination for families, especially during weekends, when hundreds of children and their parents visit to enjoy its peaceful surroundings. The children’s play area, equipped with swings, seesaws, and other play equipment, is always bustling with activity. A graceful fountain, neatly manicured lawns, colourful flowering plants, and shade-giving trees enhance the beauty of the park and provide visitors with a refreshing escape from the routines of daily life.
Parks are among the few public spaces that significantly improve the liveability of a city. They offer children a safe place to play, encourage outdoor recreation, promote physical and mental well-being, and create opportunities for neighbours to meet, interact, and build a sense of community. The Rajapalayam Local Planning Area Master Plan 2041 recognises their importance. The Master Plan provides for the reservation of land for parks, playgrounds, and open spaces, and identifies future land requirements based on the city’s projected population up to 2041.
