Category: Solid Waste Management
At Ramco Group educational institutions, we believe in catching children young when it comes to building good habits and caring for the environment. That’s why we’ve introduced a 3-bin waste system in our schools.
Students are taught to separate waste into three categories so it can be safely recycled, composted, or disposed of:
Paper Bin: For recyclable paper like books, notebooks, worksheets, newspapers, cardboard, and paper bags.
Plastic Bin: For plastics that can be reused or recycled, such as bottles, clean food containers, and wrappers.
Organic (Wet Waste) Bin: For natural waste like food leftovers, fruit and vegetable peels, and garden waste.
This segregated waste is sent for proper recycling. By following the 3-bin method, students help keep their school clean, green, and sustainable, learning that the right waste in the right bin makes a big difference.
