On 1st May 2026, Shrishti Environment and Livelihood Foundation celebrated Labour Day with the dedicated AVM Green Friends, the workforce engaged in solid waste management services for Rajapalayam through AVM, the municipal contractor for waste management operations.

To mark the occasion in an engaging manner, Shrishti organised an interactive waste segregation game, where participants demonstrated their speed and accuracy in sorting waste correctly. As a gesture of appreciation, useful gifts were distributed to all the Green Friends in recognition of their continuous hard work, commitment, and invaluable contribution to maintaining cleanliness and sustainability in the community. Though their efforts often take place quietly in the background, their impact is visible across the town every day.
