As part of the Carbon Neutral Rajapalayam initiative, a community awareness programme was conducted at Koorapillaiyar Kovil Street in Arundhathiyar Colony, under S. Ramalingapuram, to educate residents on public health and environmental responsibility.

The programme focused on practical steps that households can adopt to improve sanitation and contribute to a cleaner neighbourhood. Residents were sensitised to the importance of waste segregation at source and the benefits of using twin bins for efficient solid waste management.

Awareness was also created on dengue prevention, with organisers explaining the need for proper waste disposal and the removal of stagnant water to prevent mosquito breeding. The session additionally highlighted the importance of tree planting as a means to improve environmental quality and support a greener future.

The initiative received encouraging participation from local residents and formed part of ongoing efforts to promote sustainable living practices across Rajapalayam.
