As part of ongoing solid waste management efforts, a door-to-door awareness campaign was conducted in PSK Nagar (Ward 40) under the Rajapalayam Municipality to promote responsible waste disposal and source segregation. The initiative focused on encouraging residents to adopt sustainable habits and maintain cleaner surroundings.

During the visit, emphasis was placed on discouraging waste disposal at Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) and reinforcing the importance of using the door-to-door collection system. The drive saw active participation from municipal staff, training students, supervisors from AVM and Shrishti, and the project team, reflecting a collaborative approach to community engagement.

Residents were advised to strictly avoid dumping waste in public places and to practise proper segregation of wet and dry waste at the source. The initiative highlights a continued commitment to building awareness and fostering long-term behavioural change, moving Rajapalayam closer to its goal of becoming a clean and sustainable city.
