A Whole New soil, a brighter beginning but the same iconic tree…
A tree is far more than a simple plant. It is a silent friend that offers us cooling shade, fresh oxygen, vibrant flowers, seasonal fruits, and a safe sanctuary for birds. For decades, it may have stood quietly in the exact same spot, watching the world change around it. However, when urban development or construction requires a tree to vacate its space, cutting it down is not the only option. Through tree transplantation, we can give this living giant a second chance at life in a new home.
The journey begins with Site Selection and Preparation. Experts carefully choose a location where the tree can thrive safely, evaluating crucial factors like soil quality, sunlight exposure, physical space, and water access. The new pit is then prepared with great care to welcome its special guest.
Next comes Root Zone Identification. The roots are the tree’s lifeline. They hold the tree firmly and help it take in water and nutrients. So, the root area is carefully identified before the tree is moved.
Then comes Root Pruning. Some roots may need to be trimmed carefully. This is done with great attention.
This is followed by Root Pruning. Select roots are trimmed with meticulous care and precision, encouraging the tree to focus its energy on survival during the transition.
The most critical stage is Tree Uprooting. Using specialized equipment, the tree is gently lifted from the earth alongside its core root ball and surrounding native soil. Though it feels like bidding farewell to an old sanctuary, this moment marks the start of a promising new chapter.
The tree gets ready for Transportation. Its trunk, primary branches, and exposed root ball are wrapped securely to shield them from stress and damage while traveling to the new location.
Upon arrival, Replanting takes place. The tree is positioned with precision into its prepared pit. Soil is filled around its roots and the tree is given proper support. Once again, its roots touch the earth.
Immediately after planting, the tree receives Deep Watering. Generous soaking helps the soil settle, eliminates air pockets, and aids root recovery.
Our responsibility continues well after the move. Post-Transplantation Care is vital to long-term success. Regular watering and structural support are required until the tree regains its strength and independence.
After some days of utmost care, a tiny green leaf buds on a bare branch signalling that the tree has officially embraced its new home. Tree transplantation is not simply moving a tree. It gives the transplanted tree another opportunity to live majestically and peacefully.
Let’s not forget that even the unfamiliar earth becomes ancestral soil for transplanted tree when it is rooted with little devotion.
