The 5th anniversary of Ātmaprasāra, a volunteer-led mental health initiative based in Rajapalayam, was celebrated at the Ramco Cements auditorium in RR Nagar, Virudhunagar, bringing together counsellors, volunteers, and partner organisations.
The event saw participation from the team of Anna Chandy & Associates, a Bengaluru-based organisation specialising in counselling and training, along with representatives from an upcycling team from Auroville. The programme featured an engaging upcycling workshop focused on creative paper reuse, as well as a team-building session facilitated by the Anna Chandy & Associates team.
As part of the celebrations, participants also visited the eco park in Pandalgudi, where officials provided insights into the park’s features and its environmental initiatives.
Ātmaprasāra—an initiative of Ramco Community Services, meaning “Flowing with the Soul”—offers free and confidential counselling services to individuals seeking emotional support during challenging times. Implemented in partnership with Anna Chandy & Associates, the initiative has supported hundreds of individuals since its inception in 2021.
Committed to fostering mental wellness, inclusivity, and community resilience, Ātmaprasāra continues to work towards reducing stigma and strengthening emotional wellbeing across communities.
