A focused Garbage Vulnerable Point (GVP) cleaning and community awareness drive was carried out at Chathrapatti Road in Samusigapuram Panchayat under the Rajapalayam Local Planning Area (LPA), with the participation of around 10 volunteers.
Organised by Ramco Community Services, the programme was implemented with the support of Panchayat workers, along with the motivator and secretary, ensuring coordinated efforts on the ground.
As part of the initiative, the identified GVP site was thoroughly cleaned and restored. An awareness-themed rangoli was created at the location to reinforce the message of cleanliness, while volunteers also conducted door-to-door outreach among nearby residents.
During the campaign, households were sensitised on the importance of not littering and were encouraged to avoid dumping waste in open areas. The effort aimed to instil a sense of shared responsibility among the community for maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
