Filming is currently underway for an awareness video by Ramco Community Services aimed at promoting wider adoption of Underground Sewerage Scheme (UGSS) connections in the city.
The initiative seeks to highlight how strengthening civic infrastructure can help build a cleaner, healthier, and carbon-neutral Rajapalayam. The UGSS, a key project of the Municipality, focuses on protecting waterbodies, improving groundwater levels, eliminating stagnant water in drains, and reducing the risk of vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria.
The awareness film presents a comprehensive narrative, from the journey of freshwater to the challenges posed by stagnated wastewater, emphasising that public health issues are closely linked to civic infrastructure. It positions UGSS as a practical and technically sound solution to address these concerns.
Importantly, the video will also communicate that obtaining a UGSS connection is simple and does not involve any financial burden for residents, while ensuring safe and efficient engineering standards.
