Reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship among children, Ramco Community Services organised a cleanliness awareness programme for students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff of Jayaram Primary School, located at Thiruvananthapuram 5th Street (Ward No. 31). The session was led by resource persons from Shrishti Environment and Livelihood Foundation.
The emphasis was on the importance of maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, school premises, and the surrounding areas. Through interactive demonstrations using waste segregation products, resource persons explained how to correctly separate wet, dry, and sanitary waste and highlighted the proper use of dustbins to promote responsible waste disposal. The programme centred on the theme “Clean Area, Healthy Life”, conveying the message that every individual has a shared responsibility to keep the environment clean, healthy, and sustainable for future generations.
